On the 19th of March 2018, on a morning just like every other morning, In a moment of clarity: it dawned on me that I was wasting my life away. As I stared out the rain-spattered window of a Sydney city bus, I saw that the years were slipping by. ‘What do I want from life, anyway?’ I asked myself. ‘Well … I want to be happy.’ But I had never thought about what will make me truly happy.

For those just finding out details, Nhut and Josh just had their baby Dec 3rd. On Dec 8th she suffered a stroke possibly caused by a blood clot which resulted in bleeding in the left side of the brain and some paralysis on the right side of her body. The first CT scan identified a couple of other issues including a diagnosis of MoyaMoya disease. She was transferred from ER to the critical care unit at IU Methodist in Neurology. After a 2nd CT scan showed increased areas the bleeding, they ordered an MRI and took her into surgery on Sunday evening to relieve pressure on the brain by removing part of her scalp. She is still on a breathing tube and not very coherent but we are hopeful that the breathing tube can be removed tomorrow and hopefully she will start to regain some strength as the swelling reduces. There are a lot of unknowns right now but we will try to update as we can on this group page. Josh’s work is trying to put together a Go Fund Me account to help offset some medical and living costs so Josh can be with Nhut and the boys as much as possible and we will share those details as soon as we can. Baby Logan is doing well and is in great hands with his Aunt Kaija and their family. Tyler and Dylan are spending a good amount of time at Aunt Amy’s and her family’s when not in school and are doing as well as can be expected with something so scary. Please continue to pray and we will do our best to keep everyone posted. Please donate by using this link. Thank You!

I want to put“ I Miss My Dad,” book in hands of children and families that need to understand they are not alone. I want to give the world an opportunity to get a glimpse into the life of a child with an incarcerated parent. We need to teach our children that they can break the cycle of incarceration and be successful in life. It can be a devastating effect on the family that is left behind to cope with the aftermath. My son lost his father to prison because of a choice that he made. His father is living with that consequence but we both agree it’s important to love, support and allow our son to express his emotions and be brave even when a parent isn’t present.

The financial goal is $6,000 which represents the approximate cost to publish the book – editing, cover design, printing, etc. I recently met with Wise Ink publishing regarding my book project and learned more information on how to get a book published. I am not one who likes to ask for help, but I felt like I should try this way and with an added offer of getting something for a donation, hoping this would be my way to do this for Jasiah. I will donate a percentage of the book to a Foundation that is established for children of incarcerated parents.

I would be eternally grateful and humbled by anything that you could do in my quest to leave something in print, for my son Jasiah and other kids that are faced with this hardship. Thank you for your consideration and support! I have this book ready to go to the publisher, however, need a little help with raising funds to pay for the publishing package. Please help me to bring this book to life, a legacy for my child and a tool that will help many children going through the painful and confusing time of losing a parent.

Story Description:

“I Miss My Dad” follows the story of a young boy that loses his Dad to incarceration. 2.3 million children in the US have lost a parent due to incarceration, and it’s still a growing problem. This story will help those children cope and understand that they’re not alone. With it, they’ll learn to look on the bright side and focus on themselves and their future. The story’s rhyming style and relatable first-person storytelling give the tale an uplifting and positive outlook on the future on the child’s life.

Cee Cee’s (Dave’s) rare conditions that caused his Spinal Cord Injury are CMS and CES. He lives with Cauda Equina Syndrome, Conus Medullaris Syndrome, Spinal Cord Injury, DDD, Stenosis, paralysis bowel and bladder,Autonomic dysfunction, Hashimotos ,Vagus Nerve disorder, kidney disease, syncope. I thought I was done his list forgot to add depression, panic disorder, and ptsd.

He is in need of help so he can obtain medications that are out of pocket expenses as are any therapy he needs.  Often his needs aren't able to be met and are not covered under any program or plan.

Any help at all adds up and makes a big difference in managing Dave’s chronic life altering conditions that we manage.

90$/ Can help purchase one bottle of the two bottles of meds he needs a month.
His regular medication which is covered under his drug plan is currently in Canada wide shortage.

60$/ Can help him have  one therapy session with our chiro/kinesio massage or can also get him a month of aqua therapy.

Ever grateful to our friends and followers. For without you I’m not sure where we’d be today.

Will update when he has a date for his upcoming multi level spinal surgery and another knee surgery is likely.

Thanks for any help ever so small as it can be a huge help, for me to get Dave pain management.
His ptsd trigger is unmanaged pain, plus his autonomic dysfunction is a problem. It carries potentially fatal affects with it , so it it is all life altering conditions I’m asking for help managing these are not comfort measures.

Hello my name is Eugene Vitello, I'm 43 years old and live in the Bronx New York. I've worked as a auto body repairman and a bartender in the past. The reason I'm attempting to raise money is so I can buy my 79 year old mother a new home. Somewhere in the suburbs of upstate New York. I've been taking care of her full time for the past four years since myfather Allan passed away of kidney failure. It's been difficult for her to move on since. Thing's haven't been easy for us since, I've been taking care of her full time since my father's passing just doing odd jobs now and then, and living on her social security to help take care of her.  The reason Im asking for help is because there's no way given my current financial situation that I can purchase my mother a home. I don't have any brothers or sisters or other close family who can help me with this. I want to do this for my mother because I know it would mean so much to her. The neighborhood where we live now used to be a vey nice place to live but unfortunatly it has gone downhill alot in the last 15 years. My mother is terrified of going to a nursing home and I promised I would never do that to her. I want to do this for her because I know she has at 79 years of age she doesn't have a very long life ahead, but I want her to really be able to enjoy the time she does have left. My mother in december and january had to undergo radiation treatment fr cancer discovered in her left breast. Luckily the treatment went well and she is doing just fime. I really want o do this for her so she can enjoy her final years in a home that she will love in a nice neighborhood where she feels safe. I do feel embarrased having to ask strangers for help but this is the only way I am going to be able to accomplish this. If you can help me I would greatly appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. All the money will go to purchasing my mother a new home and furniture. As well as a nurse to help out from time to time while I'm working. Thank you so much for reading my story and if you can help thank you. sincerely Eugene Vitello
